The Scorecard compiles the votes on 24 bills that directly relate to key LWVWV priorities in four policy areas:  strengthening democracy, safeguarding equal rights, protecting children and families, and creating a sustainable future. The Scorecard is designed to inform voters and to hold legislators, regardless of party, accountable for their votes.

The League believes that the elements of this position contribute to judicial integrity and are essential to a strong democracy. These elements exemplify what the League expects from the federal courts, building trust and buttressing the Courts’ legitimacy.

With thousands of West Virginians at risk of losing healthcare access, the health and well-being of our state, our hospitals, our nursing homes, and our citizens hang in the balance.
